Categories of personal data processed

Depending on your relationship with us (site visitor only, quote requester, or corporate customer), one or more of the following categories may be processed:

• Identity & contact

  Full name, email address, phone number.

• Corporate / tax information (corporate requests only)

  Company name, tax ID (VKN), tax office.

• Delivery information

  Shipping address, recipient name/phone — only after you approve an offer and share this information.

• Request & transaction content

  Product/project details in your quote request, request number, status history, any files you attach.

• Processing-security information

  IP address (hashed/masked in analytics tables; kept in plain form on order, quote and account records for transaction security), approximate location (country/city from the IP), browser/device information (device type and model, OS, browser, language, screen size, time zone), reCAPTCHA risk score — used to prevent abuse, secure orders and help with your request.

• Marketing & analytics information (only with your analytics cookie consent)

  Page views, referring site, landing page, UTM parameters, repeat-visit statistics. Not collected if you decline analytics cookies; your quote request is still created either way.

• Electronic correspondence content

  The plain-text content of emails we exchange with you regarding your quote (HTML is never stored — only converted plain text).

• On-site behaviour of members (only while logged in to a member account)

  Pages you visit, products you view, items you add to or remove from your cart, searches, checkout/quote starts — recorded against your account, server-side, independent of cookies. Not collected for visitors who are not logged in, nor if you object via the "Shopping behaviour analysis" setting on your profile page.

• AI chat assistant data (only with your functional cookie consent)

  The messages you type into the AI chat widget, the assistant's replies, your IP address and browser/device information — collected only if you accept the "functional" cookie category. Not collected if you decline; the widget simply does not activate.

Purposes of processing and legal basis

Your personal data is processed based on the legal grounds listed in Article 5 of KVKK, specified individually for each purpose below:

• Preparing and following up on quotes

  Processing your quote request, preparing pricing and following the order/delivery process.

  KVKK Art. 5/2(c) — directly necessary for establishing or performing a contract

• Customer relationship management

  Responding to your messages, providing support, keeping you informed about the status of your request.

  KVKK Art. 5/2(c) and (f) — contract performance and our legitimate interest

• Legal and financial obligations

  Issuing invoices, bookkeeping and tax-law recordkeeping.

  KVKK Art. 5/2(ç) — a clear legal obligation

• Information security & fraud prevention

  Detecting abusive/automated submissions and protecting the request form (IP hashing, reCAPTCHA).

  KVKK Art. 5/2(f) — our legitimate interest, provided your fundamental rights are not harmed

• Website analytics & performance

  Measuring page views and traffic to improve the site — only runs if you accept analytics cookies.

• AI-powered product recommendations (chat assistant)

  Generating product/solution recommendations from your description of a project — only runs if you accept functional cookies; your message is sent to our AI provider to produce a reply.

• Member shopping behaviour analysis and special offers

  Analysing logged-in members’ on-site behaviour (viewed products, cart activity) to understand their needs and offer member-specific discounts or quotes. You can object at any time with the "Shopping behaviour analysis" toggle on your profile page; recording then stops and past behaviour records are deleted.

  KVKK Art. 5/2(f) — our legitimate interest; right to object under Art. 11

• Helping with an unfinished order or quote form (only with your explicit consent)

  If you tick the optional box above the checkout or quote form, the name, company, phone and e-mail you type are sent to our sales team even if you don't submit the form, so we can contact you to help. Without the tick nothing is sent before you submit.

• Handling legal claims

  Exercising or defending a legal claim, responding to a lawful request from a public authority.

Parties your data may be transferred to

Your personal data may only be transferred to the recipient groups below, and only to the extent each purpose requires. It is never sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes:

• Email infrastructure providers

  For sending and receiving quote-related correspondence (SMTP/IMAP service providers), only to the extent necessary.

• Hosting / cloud infrastructure

  The server and storage infrastructure that runs iotmarketi.com and its database.

• Shipping / logistics companies

  Only for approved orders that require physical delivery, and only the shipping data needed for that delivery.

• Accounting / financial advisory

  For invoicing and legally required bookkeeping.

• Payment institution (PayTR)

  For card payments: the order amount, name, e-mail, phone, address and IP needed to process the payment. Card details are entered directly on PayTR's secure page and never reach us.

• Instant notification service (international transfer)

  To let our team respond quickly, order, quote, cart and form events (contact details, order content, device/IP information) are delivered to our internal notification channel on a messaging service based outside Turkey (Telegram), under KVKK Art. 9.

• Google Customer Reviews (international transfer)

  On the confirmation page of a card-paid order, Google's survey opt-in dialog is shown; for this, the order number, email address, delivery country, estimated delivery date and product barcodes (GTIN) are sent to Google, based outside Turkey. Google emails you a satisfaction survey after delivery only if you agree in that dialog; your survey response is subject to Google's privacy policy.

• AI service provider (international transfer)

  If you use the AI chat assistant, the message you type is transmitted to our AI/large-language-model provider (based outside Turkey) to generate a reply. This transfer takes place only after — and based on — your explicit consent (functional cookies), as permitted under KVKK Art. 9.

• Public authorities

  Only when there is a lawful, binding request from a competent authority.

Retention periods

Your personal data is kept only for as long as its processing purpose requires, never beyond the maximum periods set by applicable law; once that period ends it is deleted, destroyed, or anonymized:

• Quote records & commercial correspondence

  Kept for 10 years as required by the Turkish Commercial Code and Tax Procedure Law.

• Visit / analytics data (hashed IP, page views)

  Kept for up to 26 months — the maximum period referenced in the Turkish DPA's (KVK Kurulu) cookie guidance — and reviewed periodically as part of routine maintenance; records past this window are purged.

• Cookie consent record

  Kept for the validity period of your consent (currently 182 days), after which it is asked again.

• AI-crawler visit logs

  Contain no personal data (bot user-agent + page path only) — kept for GEO/trend monitoring purposes.

• AI chat transcripts

  Kept for up to 24 months to evaluate service quality and as evidence in the event of a dispute, then deleted — a shorter period than commercial correspondence, since a chat that doesn't lead to a quote has no separate legal record-keeping requirement.

Your rights under KVKK Art. 11

Under Article 11 of KVKK you may apply to the data controller to exercise the following rights:

• Learn whether your personal data is being processed.
• Request information if it has been processed.
• Learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly.
• Know the third parties, in Turkey or abroad, to whom your data is transferred.
• Request correction if your data is incomplete or inaccurate.
• Request deletion or destruction where the conditions of KVKK Art. 7 are met.
• Request that any correction/deletion/destruction be notified to the third parties your data was transferred to.
• Object to a result against you arising solely from automated analysis of your data.
• Request compensation for damage arising from unlawful processing.

How to apply

You may submit requests regarding the rights above (i) in writing to the data controller's address above, in person or via notary, with identity-verifying documents, (ii) from the email address already on file with us to info@iotmarketi.com, or (iii) via secure electronic/mobile signature or your own registered email (KEP) to our KEP address above. Requests are finalized free of charge within 30 days at most, depending on their nature; if the request requires an additional cost, a fee set by the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board may apply.
